People distrust learning, don’t they? There’re all these stories of Miles Davis going to the Juilliard Academy and poring over classical scores in the library. That side of Miles is glossed over a bit in favour of the living-on-the-edge stuff. But it just makes me love him even more, the idea of him wanting to get musical inspiration from everything and everywhere.
