The algebra of need.

My roots (on my mum’s side, at least) are in this village and the one below it. It’s very isolated, backwards and the society is in many ways hypocritical. But the natural beauty is stunning and the people generally live by a creed of food, sex and wine if they’re not bitching.
I like the feeling of being lost there. The culture’s completely different and a lot of them are much healthier than the people you see about my town. I would never live there, but it’s wonderful to stay in my nonna’s old house. I kind of miss it right now.
